Description

As is so often the case, I quickly sighted the moon before packing up. I am always amazed how many details the small 5" Newton shows on the moon.
One of my favorite areas in very effective lighting. In the middle the Posidonius crater. To the left, Smirnov's Snake meanders down through the Mare Serenitatis in the direction of the Plinius crater. At the top left, the tip in the middle of Lacus Mortis is just lit up.
